New episode of "The 40 Year Old Boy" podcast now empty and aching and I don't know why. Maybe it's the weather; as I type this it's 84º at 5:15 AM, with no real hope for relief later today. I should point out that I don't mind; if given the choice, I would absolutely die in a fire rather than freeze to death. Of course, that seems a little extreme here - why can't I just say "I like summer", and leave it at that?
Every Wednesday I do a podcast called "The 40 Year Old Boy", and every week I'm a little worried that I'm not going to be able to fill the time allotted. Alloted by whom, you ask? Why, by my tiny brain, of course. I've created an artificial show construct in my head, which I then twist my guts around every week, trying to make sure I fill some invisible quota nobody knows about. By the way, is this too much "behind the curtain" for everybody? Asking that seems silly; let's be honest, is there even a fucking curtain left at this point?
Pretty sure I have this figured out now; damn you, question marks and commas!
The finished poster art for the upcoming "The 40 Year Old Boy: Success Is Not An Option" performances in San Francisco has arrived. Once again Mex has bailed me out, making sure at least one aspect of the show will be worthwhile; if the words I come up with are half as good as the artwork he created, we're going to have a bang-up time in the Bay Area August 20th & 21st. Showtime is 10:00 both nights, and tickets are available here: http://bit.ly/dmkDXW.
Back for the attack Dokken-style, with two very special time-wasters for your always eager eyes. This week's YouTube excursion is a trip through Hollywood's blandest hallways. See me handle a hose, climb a ladder and threaten to wake the neighbors, all while Lili plays good sport. I have no idea why she tolerates this sort of behavior, but I'm plenty happy to have her on my side. If you're looking for an ally in horseplay, always go with "hot girl", as people tend to let them get away with more stuff than they would "fat guy". Take it from me, "Fat Guy".
New Episode of "The 40 Year Old Boy" now getting around to the personal website blogging chores. Not an afterthought or anything, just had to wait a day for the video to be uploaded to YouTube - and boy, was it worth the wait. Not for my idiocy, mind you - hell, you can find babbling fools all over the Internet - but for the appearance of skilled producer Lili VonSchtupp, who classes up the entire enterprise with a memorable eight seconds that truly should have served as the still frame for the clip. Blame YouTube, as their video gremlins didn't see fit to give me that option.
